NWRM CASA Supervised Family Time

Northwest Rocky Mountain CASA’s Supervised Family Time (SFT) is a service designed to support safe, positive, and child-focused contact between children and their parents or caregivers when supervision is required by the court or child welfare system. This service follows the Supervised Visitation Network (SVN) Standards of Practice and the policies of Northwest Rocky Mountain CASA. The child’s safety, emotional well-being, and best interests are always the top priority.

Purpose of Supervised Family Time

Ensure children feel safe and supported during visits
Provide a neutral, structured environment
Support healthy parent-child relationships
Observe and document visits when required by the court

What Families Can Expect

Visits are supervised at all times by trained staff or volunteers
Supervisors remain neutral and non-judgmental
Visits follow a scheduled time, location, and structure
Supervisors may intervene if safety concerns arise

Guidelines During Visits

Follow all court orders and program rules
Speak respectfully to and about all parties
Avoid discussing adult conflicts or court matters
Do not coach or question children about the case
Arrive on time and sober and follow supervisor instructions
Late Arrivals may result in termination of scheduled visit and/or future visits
Late Arrivals may be treated the same as No Call/ No Shows
No Call/No Shows will be charged for the visit in its entirety.

Confidentiality & Reporting

Visits are documented and may be shared with the court or referring agency. Supervisors are mandatory reporters and must report safety concerns as required by law.

Fees

Fees are charged on an hourly basis and per provider for visits at the rate of $65 per hour/ per provider. Fees are subject to change at any time. The court order will be used to determine responsibility for payment, if none is listed, both parents will share the cost of services.

Hours

NWRM CASA Supervised Family Time is typically open 7 days per week offering daytime, after school and early evening times. We are closed on all major holidays and all court observed holidays. Every effort will be made to accommodate your preferred visit time, however services are dependent upon provider and facility availability. We reserve the right to decline a preferred time.
