Kelly Becker

Kelly's Bio

Originally from the Chicago area and a 1991 graduate of the University of Notre Dame, Kelly Becker has called Steamboat Springs home for 16 years and has served clients as a real estate broker at The Group, Inc since moving here in 2008. While initially resistant to be a dancer on this stage, raising money for CASA, which provides much needed resources and advocacy for kids in our community, won over her nerves of performing. As the mother of five children, aged 15 – 22, raised in our Steamboat community, Kelly has a passion for kids and wants all children to experience safety, trust, and the ability to be heard. In her free time, Kelly loves mountain biking, hiking, playing pickleball, and photography. She loves to help others, whether it’s her clients, friends, community members, or children, even if it requires her to get out of her comfort zone in a BIG way.  Let’s Dance!

Choreographer

Traci Hiatt

Traci's Bio

Traci Hiatt is a California transplant who has been in Steamboat for over 20 years. She is thrilled to be choreographing for Dancing with the Stars again this year! With no formal dance training, Traci appreciates dance as a way to express herself and spread joy. She feels very connected to this cause through her personal experience in the adoption of her son, and is honored to be able to support the important work of NW Rocky Mountain CASA through such a fun event. Traci has worn a lot of hats related to dance – Bitty Ballet dance instructor, Zumba, MixxedFit and Barre instructor, and Steamboat Dance Theatre performer. When not dancing, Traci is grateful to be able to support our community through her work at Yampa Valley Community Foundation. Her greatest joys in life are her husband Ryan, son Zach and four-legged family members. She looks forward to putting on a show for you tonight and hopes you will cheer loudly for her and her partner Kelly!

Choreographer

Janet Peasley

Janet's Bio

Hailing from the vibrant city of Detroit, Michigan, Janet has been immersed in the world of dance since the age of 4. Throughout her journey, she has honed her skills in hip hop and its various sub-genres. Janet’s dance hustle has taken her to incredible heights, including performing in national parades, presidential inaugural events, captivating audiences before basketball games, and even gracing the stages of cruise ships during her college years. Her time spent teaching dance at a local studio enhanced her love for our community’s children. For a decade, she nurtured and inspired young dancers, fostering their love for the hip hop art form and choreographing for The Nutcracker and The Wiz. She is a proud and active member of Steamboat Dance Theatre; an organization which has captured her heart entirely! Over the past 13 years with SDT Janet has served as a board member, concert producer, choreographer, dancer, and volunteer. While dancing has always been a source of joy for her, giving back to her family and community makes her thrive.

Paul Franklin

Paul's Bio

Paul is thrilled to have the opportunity to step up and raise money for such an important and meaningful organization. His wife, Mitzi, has volunteered for CASA for 10 years, and the impact of Steamboat’s Dancing with the Stars has not been unappreciated during that time. Raised in downtown Chicago, and educated out East, Paul moved back to Chicago to start his family and career in construction and real estate development. In 2002 the development project, Elkins Meadow, brought him, his wife, and their two daughters to Steamboat, and there was no looking back. Several projects later, Paul became part owner of Billo Dispensary here in Steamboat. Paul enjoys summers biking and fishing, scaling mountains in search of elk in the fall, shredding the slopes in winter, and playing hockey year-round. His new found joy is dancing. Despite his wife and daughters’ best efforts to convince him otherwise, after this year’s Dancing with the Stars, Paul’s thinking of going pro. He thinks he’s that good, but we’ll let you be the judge of that.

Choreographer

Jessica LeBlanc

Jessica's Bio

This is Jessica’s third year as a choreographer with DWTS and she is honored to help support the mission of CASA in our community.  Jessica grew up in Atlanta and began dancing ballet and tap at a young age.  She now enjoys all styles of dance including ballroom, African, Bollywood and contemporary.

When she and her husband, Dan, moved to Steamboat Springs in 2015, she found many opportunities to dance again.  She started dancing in the Steamboat Dance Theater Annual Concert, and has also choreographed several pieces for the show.  For the last four years, she has served on the Dance Theatre board, where she is always looking for more opportunities for adults and children to dance in our community.

Jessica has been a teacher for seventeen years and currently teaches Kindergarten at Steamboat Montessori, where many of her days end with a dance party!

She and her husband can often be found dancing in the kitchen, and they hope their two children will enjoy dancing as much as they do.

Jennifer Kempers

Jennifer's Bio

Jennifer Kempers moved to the Yampa Valley over 20 years ago with her husband, Scott, searching for a great place to raise their three boys – Matthew (22), Daniel (21) and Andrew (19). She was looking to practice medicine in a mountain town with a deep sense of community. She has been practicing internal medicine with Yampa Valley Medical Associates and serving on the medical staff leadership ever since. In her free time Jennifer enjoys playing hockey with the women’s Bobcats team, practicing yoga and getting back to skiing after knee surgery two years ago.

Although the valley has changed over the years, Steamboat still cares very deeply for the people who live here. Dancing With the Stars is an amazing opportunity for Jennifer to support this community she loves.

Her previous dance experience, ballet in the second grade, has prepared her for this moment. She is excited to be able to give back to this fabulous community by supporting NWRM CASA.

Choreographer

Irene Alicot

Irene's Bio

Irene Alicot is thrilled and honored to be included as a choreographer for Northwest Rocky Mountain CASA’s Dancing with the Stars! Irene was born and raised in Miami, Florida, to Cuban parents. Irene has been dancing her whole life, starting with house parties as a child. She loves exploring different genres of dance, and has experimented with many styles such as tap, jazz, hip hop, African, and of course, Latin. Irene moved to Steamboat in 2007 as a Spanish teacher at Steamboat Springs High School, where she has taught thousands of “eager” students ever since. She also met her husband, Garrett Branson, and the two of them comprise half of the Spanish department at the school. Irene and Garrett have two children who attend Strawberry Park Elementary, and yes, the kids DO speak Spanish. She enjoys most of what the Yampa Valley has to offer and loves mountain biking, skiing, rock climbing, and hiking. Irene is excited to help raise money for Rocky Mountain CASA.
